2:19 pm	rant... So we finally ended up bringing home a pool. The box says "goes up in 15 minutes, then fill!" Uh huh, 15 minutes my ASS! After taking for-f'ing-ever just to set it up, we put the hose in to fill it. 15 hours later, the pool is full. YAY! Whatever. The god damn thing has a hole in it. Now, we have to drain the whole thing, and take it back to the store. AFTER we had already put together the ladder, the pump and vacuum, etc.! What a pain in the ass. The easiest way to drain it is to push down on one side and let the water come flooding out, but I don't want to kill the grass in front of the dirt area where we laid the tarp under the pool. So don't tell on me, but the pool is right next to the fence that has an elementary school field on the other side. Loooks like the school field is going to be a bit swampy by our fence. But in this heat it oughta dry quickly, right? I really would like to have the new pool up and filled before we leave on Thursday for An Tir/West. Doesn't give me much time to drain the old one, exchange it, and go through the entire process all over again. But if I do manage, it should be warm enough to get in when we get back. Wish me luck. 10:16 am	Well things have taken a nice little turn around here...my days have been quiet 'cuz the kids aren't coming as much. Mondays and Tuesdays are PACKED from morning to evening, but then the rest of my week is calm and quiet. I have 2 new kids, Brason is 3 and Kellen is 4 months. They are sweet little boys. They are here only on mon. and tues. So now I have a total of 8 kids that come by on variable days. Not all at once, thank you! So, less hours, more money. Me likey! Hopefully this will last throughout the summer until school starts, then on to elementary aged kids. My momma is stopping by today to visit. I made her a cd of all the obscure, weird ass songs she used to sing to me when I was a kid. I added some songs her mom used to sing to her that have been passed all the way down to Alison. That oughta get her all misty-eyed. Her mom was a bit insane with a drinking problem and depression that led to suicide, but those song memories are the good kind. My relationship with my mother is so nice these days, she is happier than I have ever seen her, and I am so proud of where she is taking herself. She graduates from Nursing school in December, and she is in love. So cute. And now, since there are no children coming today, and Alison is at school, I am going to go sit on my back deck in the warm sunshine and read To Kill A Mocking Bird. Again.
